JOB DESCRIPTION

Project Manager with strong Business Analyst skills (50/50 split).

Target: planning an effort to gain functional (Pharma Development) and cross-functional master data alignment by leveraging the existing Master Data System and extending the Master Data Model for additional key entities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is a combination of an IT Project Management (IPM)-  and a Business Analyst (BA) role where the focus is on solving 3 prioritized data problems - and therefore different from traditional software development projects.  On one hand the position is responsible for leading the Master and Operational Data Standards project (MODS) delivery (end of 2014). And on the other hand is the position actively contributing to the process- and systems landscape analysis to map the information flow of key entities.

IPM part:

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing assigned resources, effectively tracking budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring and making adjustments/updates to detailed project plans, effectively leading and facilitating project meetings as well as proactively controlling project scope, risks and issues.  This position is expected to provide timely status reports to all stakeholders and escalate issues to the senior management.  Additionally, this position must effectively manage the projects across global locations and time zones and be able to travel internationally as needed.

BA part:

As a member of the MODS team, this role works actively on the creation of an information flow diagram, the CRUD Matrix, and the identification of the source systems for key entities. Input is gained from business process analysis, existing database schemas, system interface contracts, systems documentation and close communication with process - and system responsible. Focus is on Drug Development processes and systems.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Identify, acquire, develop, and lead globally dispersed project teams (including remote development and testing).

Ensure project objectives/requirements are clear and agreed to by all stakeholders.

Manage relationships with various technology and business groups to achieve project objectives.

Ensure successful and timely completion of deliverables; track progress via MS Project.

Identify and apply systematic quality activities to ensure that project employs all processes needed to meet Validation and Compliance requirements.

Conduct risk management planning, identification, analysis and monitoring; formulate risk mitigation strategies and recommend solutions.

Manage the processes required to ensure timely and appropriate generation, collection, distribution, storage, retrieval, and ultimate disposition of project information and documentation necessary for successful communications across all stakeholders.

Experience with Drug Development processes and related Computer Systems Landscape.

Strong analytical skills - desire to understand the root cause of an existing problem.

Focus on Data - ideally experience with Master Data concepts and able to apply the right abstraction for data entities.

Experience with Data Modeling- and Business Process Frameworks.

Knowledge of Pharmaceutical Industry Data Standards (eg CDISC) is a plus.
