Position: Senior Project Manager
Company: Large Insurance company
Duration: 6 months
Place of work: Zurich
Key Accountabilities
. Successful implementation of mid-size or medium complexity local/regional projects or mid-size or medium complexity projects of a program, ie:
. Select appropriate processes required to meet the project objectives.
. Adapt to and apply different delivery methodologies including Scrum, Waterfall, and Zurich Lean.
. Establish and maintain appropriate communication and engagement with stakeholders.
. Comply with requirements to meet stakeholder needs and expectations.
. Balance the competing constraints of scope, schedule, budget, quality, resources, and risk to produce the specified product, service, or result.
. Ensure change readiness of receiving organization.
. Train and mentor next generation of project managers.
Business Accountabilities:
. Oversee business cases and program/project plans to ensure they meet financial requirements of the business.
. Lead the implementation of programs/projects to drive business change for the business change function to deliver defined objectives with allocated resources and in timescales of up to one year.
. Drive program/project portfolios in order to support an operational change to the business, typically for projects of up to one year.
. Provide program/project advisory services to colleagues across the business, to ensure understanding and adherence to the company's risk and compliance processes.
. Assess risks associated with the execution of change programs/projects, reporting to sponsor/steering committees in order to ensure risks are understood and to agree appropriate action.
. Analyze key program/project themes from a wide range of data sources in order to identify how different scenarios may impact on the business and the success of business change projects.
Education & Experience
. Bachelors degree (or equivalent) or 6 or more years of experience in related field
. Required: 4 or more years of experience in managing projects, with a proven track record of delivery. Preferred: Background in Financial Services.
. Certification (required): Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent, ZPMF Practitioner certification or equivalent
. Certification (preferred): Certified Scrum Master (CSM), ZPMF Professional certificate or equivalent, ZurichLean Yellow Belt certification or equivalent
