Summary: This position is responsible for managing and organizing resources so that a project is completed within a defined scope, quality, time and cost constraints. This position is tactical in nature. Provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in his/her area of specialization.

MAJOR JOB DUTIES:

- Manage all aspects of a project (eg, new ERP system installation) from initiation through delivery.
- Create and execute project work plans and revise plans as appropriate to meet the ever changing project needs and requirements.
- Perform administrative activities such as coordinating logistical issues, billing and status reporting.
- Ensure work effort generates desired deliverables on time, within budget and at required performance levels.
- Focus on the deliverables, milestones, and tasks for multiple simultaneous projects.
- Manage the effective execution of tasks/processes on a project.
- Ensure project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately.
- Keep senior management informed of key issues and changes which may impact expected business results.
- Determine methods and procedures on new assignments, and provide guidance and assistance to project manager.
- Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions for a project.
- Serve as a senior in-house project consultant including evaluating needs, vendor selection, designing RFPs, building a tool/product for company internal use.
- Plan and direct implementation efforts.
- Exhibit sound and accurate decision making; serve as resource for problem solving.
- Manage people and other resources indirectly as part of a cross-functional team that is required to complete a project.
- Facilitate team meetings effectively.
- Keep project team members informed of changes.
- Identify and obtain resources needed and assign to individuals.
- Collect user requirements, analyze current business processes, and devise solutions for business process problems.
- May, at times, mentor team members.
- Act as a subject matter expert and an advocate in adopting new best practices and processes.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in Computer Science or related discipline
- 5 or more years of related professional project management experience
- Project Management Certification (PMP) or global equivalent (ie PRINCE2) required
- Experience using professional and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
- Ability to contribute to moderately complex aspects of a project
- Collaborative skills and the ability to work independently required
- Strong competence with various tools and procedures used to accomplish the project
