Senior Project Manager

SENIOR IT PROJECT MANAGER NEEDED

This position oversees all aspects of project delivery, including determining timelines, roles, and responsibilities, monitoring project health, identifying and resolving issues, and reporting progress to stakeholders and management. Proactively, creatively, and tactfully works with stakeholders and customers to identify and resolve project issues and risks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work with business customers to develop and execute projects designed to support a customer focused, proactive technology services group; supervise the activities of vendors and contract staff.
- Work with stakeholders and customers to determine project issues and risks and develop plans to address appropriately.
- Maintain understanding of current and evolving business, technology, and financial services industry standards and trends.
- Manage vendor, Member Firm, and internal customer relationships to provide management systems and tools designed to meet business needs, ensuring on time delivery at competitive costs.
- Consult with Member Firms to obtain input on their technology requirements and issues and coordinate with other departments, carriers, and vendors to implement appropriate action plans and deliverables based on this information.
- Establish and maintain integration between internal management systems and interfaces to external systems; create processes to ensure accuracy.
- Provide systems administration and advanced support services for select management systems.
- Participate in developing and maintaining strategies and methodologies for the application delivery group.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 5 years of related experience, with a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Project Manager; extensive project management and analysis experience with systems requirements and design
- 4-year college degree or equivalent
- Experience with business process analysis and design
- Experience evaluating and selecting software, vendors and products, and managing vendors and consultants
- Well-developed computer technical skills with strong proficiency in application delivery
- Experience in building and managing complex systems and/or spreadsheets to estimate and manage projects and operations
- Exceptional organizational skills; proven ability to track, prioritize, and report status of multiple projects
- Proven ability to work with changing requirements/priorities using internal and external resources
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to present materials to diverse groups of various sizes
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members, Member Firms, carriers, and vendors
- Experience with life insurance and/or financial services a plus
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus
