Senior Project Manager

Yoh has a career enhancing contract opportunity for an experienced PROJECT MANAGER to join our premiere client in Philadelphia, PA.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Project Manager will have responsibility for all aspects of the project over the entire life (initiate, plan, execute, control, close). The Project Manager must be familiar with system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively lead the activities of the team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of project.
- Takes projects from original concept through final implementation, interfacing with all areas affected by the project including end users, distributors, and vendors.
- Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.

Management Experience
- Execute the tasks as defined in the project plan in order to achieve the project goals.
- Ensure a common understanding by setting expectations in accordance with the Project Plan, in order to align the stakeholders and team members. Implement the approved actions and workarounds required to mitigate project risk events in order to minimize the impact of the risks on the project.
- Record detailed customer requirements, constraints, and assumptions with stakeholders in order to establish the project deliverables, using requirement-gathering techniques (eg, planning sessions, brainstorming, focus groups) and the project charter.
- PDL will manage 2 programs each with several projects in different phases of the SDLC.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Ability to work in a very fast paced environment.
- High energy level and significant multitasking and organizational skills required.
- Must be self driven and able to work independently.
- In addition to the below "standard" profile our client has provided, we are looking for Senior Project Managers who have been involved in a full life cycle software installation.
- Very Proactive, able to handle/juggle multiple projects and priorities, high energy, technical PM experience.
- Software development experience is primary need. They don't care about system implementation experience (ie CRM, ERP systems etc.
- Data warehousing/BI is a great to have but not required.
- Successful candidates will also have to have formal Project Management skills and excel politically within large bureaucracies and take direction well. Large company/client experience in Healthcare, Financial or Pharmaceutical is preferred
- Must be able to manage multiple work streams as well as other PM's workstreams.
- Six to ten (6-10) years Project Management experience. PMP Certified preferred.

A qualified candidate must show the ability to apply, independently, the following skills:
- Demonstrates thorough understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Manage changes to project scope
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques in order to keep the project plan accurate, updated, reflective of authorized project changes as defined in the change management plan, and facilitate customer acceptance.
