Huxley Associates are looking for Senior Project Engineers in Process Control Management for a client of our who have offices in both Warrington and Teeside - These are on a permanent basis, unfortunately no contract positions are currently available. Ideal candidates will have completed either a computer, instrumentation, controls degree or gained more than ten years' industry experience. A positive attitude is required with the desire to extend your skill set, take on board new challenges and help the company grow its reputation and customer base. The work will be varied and every project a new and exciting opportunity to use and develop different skills, both at a technical level and at a softer project execution interpersonal level. You will be involved in the design and implementation of a wide range of control systems to improve the performance of manufacturing and processing companies including PLC, SCADA, distributed control systems, and industrial safety systems. Clients you will work with include: AstraZeneca, INEOS, Glanbia, Sellafield Ltd and National Grid. You will need to have knowledge of at least one of the following systems: Mainstream PLC / SCADA / DCS, e.g. * Siemens S7/300, S7/400, S5, Allen Bradley SLC500, PLC5, ControlLogix, CompactLogix * SCADA systems such as WinCC, InTouch, iFIX * Knowledge of DCS systems You will be able to lead a team of engineers on a day-to-day basis to ensure that projects are delivered in time, under budget and to the quality required by your clients. You should also have the ability to be able to work autonomously, or as part of a team, dependent on the size and scope of the project. You will be required to mentor junior members of staff, and will be actively involved in their development. You will be required to produce project documentation, such as design and test specifications and review documents produced by junior engineers. Good documentation and communication skills, planning and time management are essential for this role. Other useful attributes include: * Skills in DCS systems such as Emerson DeltaV, Siemens PCS7, ABB System 800xa, Allen Bradley ProcessLogix, Honeywell Plantscape / Experion * Understanding of instrumentation signals and the ability to fault-find on I/O subsystems and I/O subsystems that use buses such as Profibus, ProfiNet, DeviceNet, ControlNet and EtherNet * Confidence in the use of PC based office systems preferably Microsoft Office suite and MS Project * Knowledge and experience in implementing projects using the following standards and guidelines: IEC 61508, IEC 61131, EN54, S88, GxP There is a large emphasis placed on Staff Development within this client and so the opportunities are endless.
