Senior Programmer Analyst

Link Technologies is currently seeking a Sr. Programmer Analyst for a position with a high-profile client in Carson City, NV.

The Senior Programmer Analyst will add all the required functionalities to the Motor Fuel Tax Application as per AB413. Add index tax to Clark County fuel loads on worksheets, tax return, and statistical reports. Motor Fuel Tax Application is an ASP.NET web application built using VB.NET and JavaScript with most of the business logic residing in zOS Cobol programs with most of the critical data in DB2 database. Some of the business logic is written in .NET and non-critical data is stored in MS SQL Server. The IDE used will be MS Visual Studio 2010 with .NET Framework 4.0.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

- Consultant must be proficient in VB.NET, ASP.NET, AJAX, HTML, CSS, XML, and JavaScript.
- Consultant must have a thorough knowledge of working with Web Services, user control, sever controls, DLL's, etc.  The VB.NET programs call Cobol/DB2/CICS programs in Mainframe.
- Mainframe Cobol/DB2/CICS knowledge/experience is not mandatory but will be an added advantage for the consultant.
- If the consultant has no Cobol/DB2/CICS experience, then the consultant must be willing to learn the basics of Cobol/DB2/CICS on their own before joining DMV.

SCOPE OF WORK

- Consultant must perform all activities to the agreed upon project plan/schedule.
- Analyze code that has minimal documentation;
- Re-engineer code based on the need and assigned task;
- Attend JAD sessions, gather and document project requirements when assigned;
- Create new code following guidelines established by Nevada DMV;
- Test code;
- Provide necessary documents for change;
- Provide status reports as desired by the Project Lead; and
- Prepare other project documents as required.
