Senior Program Manager BI

THIS IS A CONTRACT TO HIRE OPPORTUNITY WITH A SENIOR LEVEL BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE/PROGRAM MANAGER. Candidate leads the development of Agile-based Business Intelligence team consisting of onshore and offshore resources working on multiple work streams simultaneously.

Works with the business on developing priorities, establishing levels of effort, setting timelines and communicating major milestones within the project and case work. Serves as the leader/mentor to other team members, escalation of major issue related to the team, and the central point of contact for all Business Intelligence executive inquiries.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for the professional development of team resources.
- Leads the collaboration of Business Intelligence resources, both technical and non-technical, onshore and offshore in the Agile development of corporate and external client solutions.
- Leads the establishment of priorities amongst multiple areas of the business in order to develop and deploy solutions that meet the critical expectations of both external and internal clients.
- Balances client advocacy with technical delivery of BI solutions in striving to deploy accurate solutions that lead to major corporate decisions.
- Leads the overall efforts of the Business Intelligence team in rolling out new solutions, maintaining existing, dynamic solutions and providing rapid break-fix support of existing solutions.
- Works with project manager to assess team resource availability for up and coming projects as well as maintenance items.
- Bridges the gap for user community between technical solutions and the business application of those solutions.
- Develops clear communication for upper management on the state, status and direction of the team resources, pointing out the value of solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Requires a Bachelor degree in Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a similar field and 8+ years' experience in the information systems/project delivery industry
- Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience
- Proven experience in managing teams of onshore and offshore resources, with a strong background in project management
- Strong background in Business Intelligence and/or software development experience with demonstrated experience in Reporting/Dashboard solutions.
- Advanced communication skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate to all levels of the organization from line level associates to executive management
- A strong sense of ownership of the Business Intelligence team and their solutions
