Senior Procurement Officer

My client, a large public sector organisation, is currently looking for a Senior Procurement Officer to join their team in Leeds. The role will involve travel to Bristol, Birmingham and Holland 2-3 times per month (expenses covered). Therefore all applicants must be flexible to travel.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The ICT procurement specialist will be expected

- Discuss business requirements and specifications
- Agree procurement strategies with business partners (including criteria for selecting suppliers)
- Select tenderer's, produce and input into tender documents (including supplier performance measures, specifications, schedules and evaluation methodologies)
- Manage the tender process, evaluate tenders, and support business partners post-award.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

- A strong proven track-record in leading ICT public procurement exercises (inviting/selecting tenders, managing contracts) and/or contract development work (with a knowledge of a wide range of contract types and forms and their application to business need).

DESIRABLE:

- MCIPS.
- Dutch Speaker.
- Experience of the OJEU Competitive Dialogue procedure.
- Experience of transport and/or emergency services sectors.

The role is being offered on an initial 6 month contract paying up to £370/day.
