JOB TITLE: Senior Process Engineer

LOCATION: Richmond, VA

SALARY: $35-44/HOUR

WE HAVE AN IMMEDIATE NEED FOR A SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER FOR A LONG TERM CONTRACT IN RICHMOND, VA.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The ideal candidate for this position must have a proven track record of gathering and analysing business and system requirements to meet the business goals and represent IT to the business organizations. The successful candidate in this role will be responsible for analysing various business functions, systems, processes and data, and making viable recommendations to the client management. This individual will apply proven analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT investments, making current systemic and business processes efficient and effective.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Analyze current systems, business processes and data sources and document using Microsoft office tools.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders, sponsors and management to determine the project scope.
- Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements, and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues.
- Guide business partners in developing effective and efficient business processes and map to functional system design.
- Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems
- Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including system integration and customer acceptance, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support
- Utilize standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirements and functional specifications
- Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential problem areas in various IT systems
- Provide orientation to end users for all modified and new systems

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in business system analysis is required
- Understanding of BPM/Six-Sigma tools
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and interviewing skills.
- Customer service skills will be an asset.
- Ability to understand a business process and document artifacts (Process maps in VISIO, procedures in Word etc.)
- Six Sigma -Green belt or Black Belt would be big plus
- A college Degree is required
- Knowledge of databases and SQL is required
- Experience in BPO, Call Center, Help desk process analysis is preferred.
- Experience with basic project management tasks such as creating work breakdown structure and project schedule, managing scope, tracking issues and ensuring that the deliverables conform to the established quality standards.
