ABOUT THE ROLE
Southend Borough Council are looking for an experienced hardworking professional who can coordinate and support the work of the Council in relation to children who go missing or who are, or are at risk of, child sexual exploitation. You will be responsible for collecting and analysing information in relation to these children.
Building links with Partners agencies will ensure the effective collation and analysis of qualitative and quantitative information in relation to children who go missing or who are at risk of, child sexual exploitation will assist the LSCB and Southend Borough Council in analysing need and identifying strengths and areas for development.

ABOUT YOU
You will need to have a recognised Social Work qualification or other professional qualification. Detailed knowledge of current practice, key issues and local and national developments (including policy) in regards to children who go missing or who are at risk of sexual exploitation. Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations guidance issues in regards to children who go missing or who are at risk of sexual exploitation.
Awareness of child protection, looked after children, child in need, children who offend and children subject to Common Assessments. Knowledge of methods of intervention with children and young people and their families especially in relation to children who go missing or who are at risk of sexual exploitation. Familiarity & understanding of how to assess children and their families especially those who go missing or who are at risk of sexual exploitation and assess and work with the related risks.
