Senior Policy Analyst

Our client is seeking a SENIOR POLICY ANALYST to develop, communicate and implement strategies to improve performance management and budgeting. Reporting the Principal Advisor, you will be responsible for researching best practice financial management practices, identifying policy gaps and developing solutions.

YOUR DUTIES:

- Develop policy documents, guidelines and other supporting material to support the Financial Management Framework
- Providing timely and relevant advice to key stakeholders on a range of financial management issues
- Consult with other agencies to support the implementation of change, including the development and application of change management strategies
- Work with the organisation and other agencies to implement new initiatives
- Provide training and ongoing consultancy support on financial management policies

YOUR BACKGROUND:

- Policy writing skills with a background in audit and risk
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Proven experience in policy or strategy design, development, and implementation and demonstrated strategic thinking skills
- High level project management skills
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, business, economics, government, law or arts
