Senior Platform Engineer

Senior Platform Engineer required to perform the below tasks:
Support platform requirements analyses, compliance assessments and gap analyses.
Support the team in the definition and development of platform systemic attributes and concept physical architecture.
Work on concept design activities including dynamic mobility and survivability modelling.
Liaise with external, specialist suppliers of military platform systems and sub-systems.
Prepare material for internal and external design reviews.
Support to multi-company design reviews.
Support critical design appraisals throughout the design and development life cycle.
Effectively communicate platform design options & constraints to a multi disciplined team throughout all phases of the project.
Carry out viability assessments of competing technologies and systems.
Support to the preparation of cost, programme and risk estimates for proposed platform solutions.
Provide concise briefings to lead engineer.

The successful candidate will have the below skills:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent in an engineering or science discipline.
A proven track record in the design and development of platforms from concept through to series production.
Experience of engineering platform designs against performance and reliability targets.
Experience of defining and evaluating platform requirements.
Contemporary knowledge of existing and emerging technologies in the areas of automotive, survivability and vetronic systems.
A proven track record in the development of platform principle sub-systems.
Ability to liaise with and present information to multi disciplined team members.
Ability to interpret mechanical design requirements and propose appropriate design solutions
Excellent presentation, verbal and written skills.
