Senior Payroll Assistant

My client a leading IT Support Company are looking to recruit a Senior Payroll Assistant to work in their prestigious offices based in Hatfield. The successful candidate will be an experienced Senior Payroll Assistant, who has used a variety of payroll systems including SAP and has a 'can-do' and 'hands-on' approach to work. You will be responsible for contributing to the monthly payroll operations which pays over 4500 UK employees.

You will be a member of a team with responsibility for monthly payroll processing, including some manual calculations. You will be establishing good working relationships with third party providers and managing employee queries related to payroll. You will be assisting in various projects to improve the payroll services and SAP systems. You will be responsible for maintaining and processing payroll system reports as well as meeting daily/weekly service level agreements.

You will have demonstrable previous experience in Payroll within a large organisation, strong SAP skills and fully conversant with up-to-date legislation regarding Income Tax, National Insurance, SMP/SSP Shared parental leave and AE Pensions. You will need to have good working knowledge of PAYE, NI for salary sacrifice arrangements and experience of using a number of different payroll systems.
