SENIOR ORACLE SPECIALIST

SENIOR ORACLE SPECIALIST: One of our market leading clients is urgently seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Senior Oracle Specialist for a long, lucrative and stable contract in Amsterdam. The ideal candidate will have experience in migrating databases and solving conversion problems in a large complex IT environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Senior Oracle DBA will be responsible for the (Oracle) database migrations (Legacy) applications to the new standard Linux platform.
- You recognize quickly that the migration was successful and link your findings back to application management.
- You solve conversion problems, you carry out the changes in association with the application teams and ensure that the migrated database meets the clients database standards.
- You support the applicative DevOps teams with specialized knowledge and experience to optimize the performance of migrated Oracle database environments.

IN ADDITION, YOU RECOGNIZE YOURSELF IN THE FOLLOWING PROFILE:
. HBO level
. Minimum 5 years experience as an Oracle DBA on UNIX, Linux with ASM and RMAN
. Demonstrable experience with Oracle Data Guard and Oracle Enterprise Manager
. Demonstrable experience HINTS large data migrations
. Knowledge and experience with Sybase ASE and Microsoft SQL database migrations is a plus
. Oracle Certified Professional
. Good experience with UNIX Shell Scripting, SQLPLUS and PL/SQL is a "MUST"
. Experience with Apex installations, Oracle Weblogic Services and Java objects to databases.
. Experience working in DevOps teams (Agile/SCRUM)
. Fluency in Dutch and English spoken and written
. Good communicative skills
. ITIL, Cloud, Perfomance & Tuning, clusters are not unfamiliar terms for you
. Willingness to work outside office hours
