Senior Oracle Developer

Our client is looking for a Senior Oracle Developer to provide technical leadership, data architecture and applications developmentin support of the client's Program.

This position requires the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

Required Skills:

- Extensive experience with Oracle PL/SQL
- Knowledge of Oracle database performance optimization best practices
- Experience in distributed systems environments
- Application integrations in complex, web-service driven or SOA environments.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills
- Experience having functioned as an individual contributor or team member

Responsibilities:

- Engage directly with clients to explain software solutions, answer questions on features and/or development processes when needed.
- Work directly with business development teams during project envisioning/inception to come up with best solution and reasonable accurate time/cost estimates for project
- Contribute to functional and technical design, process, and use case design and reviews; and read functional and technical specifications.
- Self-manage workload and work assignments within a development team that is responsible for delivering projects/tasks through a software development life cycle, with an eye toward project timelines and utilization.
- Evaluate/estimate work effort, control scope, identify risk and resolve conflict; manage issues and bug fixes.
- Help to define and implement development best practices, standards and processes.
- Thoroughly document development work completed using established team standards.

Desired Skills:

- Experience working with the Oracle EBS platform and Oracle SOA Framework
- Experiencing designing for both transactional and data warehousing applications
- Database Administration and support experience
- Experience creating ETL packages
- Oracle Forms experience
- Senior-level Java or .NET development skills
- Experience working within Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Experience mentoring or guiding Developers and Testers on a project
- Subversion source control
- Microsoft Team Foundation Server 2010
- Working knowledge/understanding of Microsoft SQL Server 2008R2/2012
