Yoh has a contract opportunity for a SENIOR NETWORK ARCHITECT to join our client in the Cary, North Carolina area.

JOB OVERVIEW:
- The Solution Consulting Service's Senior Network Architect is responsible for providing a variety of technical and non-technical consulting, and advisory services for clients both inside and outside the company. The Architect functions in a post-sales capacity, with broad horizontal skill sets and a core competency in networking, telecommunications and security technologies. Architects are competent in key areas such as leadership, solution design, production support, relationship building, and client interaction.
- Responsibilities include understanding and evaluating current network implementation at client sites and determine any gaps compared to the strategic business direction. Demonstrates experience in leading an effort that analyzes, designs, troubleshoots, and implements network architectures and solutions in order to best meet client requirements; leverages resources from different teams to ensure that customer needs are met. Determines methods and procedures to be implemented and used on the most complex new technologies to enhance performance. Determines approach for customer, based on assessment of customer needs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrate technical and advisory leadership for customers and effectively communicates the technical and business message. Advance the art and methodologies used for the delivery of customer solutions
- Successfully lead complex customer account or projects, bridging between the needs of the customer and working closely with the customer's Network, Security, Application and relevant Business teams.
- The Consultant will review all the documentation provided by the customer and will request/set up any needed calls/meetings with the relevant customer personnel.
- The Consultant will suggest ways to streamline/optimize the current network infrastructure in terms of Design, number of devices, re-Architecture, decommission equipment which are end of life and end of support.
- The Consultant will identify opportunities to decommission transport circuits which are not needed, and low on utilization - keeping in mind the business and redundancy requirements of the customer.
- The Consultant will identify possibilities to reduce the bandwidth of the existing circuits either in terms of access or port speed or both where the utilization is low, but keeping the Application and Business requirements of the customer.
- The Consultant will suggest ways to upgrade/migrate from Legacy to newer technologies both for network equipment and transport circuits to provide savings on recurring support, and maintenance costs.
- The Consultant will provide their findings, relevant documentation, reports from the engagement, handoff and close the project with the Customer.
- The Consultant will be working on-site at the customer specified location.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- B.A. or B.S. in Business, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10+ years relevant senior level experience with designing, planning and trouble-shooting complex network infrastructure in datacenter environment with expertise in Routers, Switches, Load Balancers, Firewalls and Advanced Sniffers from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, F5, Checkpoint, Arista and NetScout
- Have a high degree of competency in technical areas: Networking Protocols/Services BGP, OSPF, IPSec, GRE, HSRP/VRRP, NAT/PAT, SNMP, MPLS, VPLS, QoS, STP, RSTP, 802.1Q, Port-Channel, Flex Link, SPAN, VLAN, VTP, 10GigE, GigE, 10/100 Ethernet, T1, DS3, SONET, GTM, LTM, DNS, and Application Firewalls etc.
- Have a high degree of competency in Multicast technologies, Packet Analysis tools, Load Balancer and Firewall configuration tools.
- Exceptional communications capabilities, including leveraging other people, giving presentations, and speaking publicly.
- Must be approachable, teachable, a team player with a strong desire to continue learning and expanding their experience in a highly evolving technology focused environment.
- Possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Financial Services Industry experience is preferred.
- Certification(s) in areas of expertise: CCNP, CCIP, CCDP or higher.
