Senior MS SQL Infrastructure Database Administrator (3881)

For a project at our banking client site in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced

SENIOR MS SQL INFRASTRUCTURE DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR (3881)

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or similar work experience
- DB environments and components understanding
- In depth understanding of Sybase and SQL infrastructure environment (2005/2008/2014 Always On) & Windows Server knowledge
- Sound experience in database optimization and tuning
- Experience in automation
- Wealth of documentation experience
- Self driven
- Fluency in English, German would be an advantage

THE TASKS YOU WILL PERFORM:

- Install, maintain, operate and support the MS SQL Infrastructure Environment in a new zone
- Restore, Backup and clone of DB instances
- Incident management for the DBs in scope
- Proactive application/project team co-ordination during incidents
- Problem/Issue resolution (System & Performance)
- Database Object Performance/Tuning
- Knowledge management, including documentation
- Automation
- Look after the availability, integrity and security of our clients data in the projects database
- Document service and ensure readiness to integrate service into a Managed-service contract without additional KT and or documentation required
- There is a Senior Sybase DBA on site, but if the candidate has Sybase knowhow, this would help
