Senior MS BI Consultant/Architect

JOB TITLE: SENIOR MS BI CONSULTANT/JNR ARCHITECT
JOB LOCATION: HILVERSUM, NETHERLANDS
JOB TYPE: 6 MONTHS CONTRACT

Client currently do all their planning in hundreds of large complex spreadsheets. They have a project to optimise and standardise those in preparation for a move to a proper planning tool in the future.

They need to embed a member in their BI team in the project to carry out the following roles:

THE RESPONSIBILITIES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Architecture support, challenging and guiding the project on where to source the data and what operations should occur in excel and what in BI. They will need to setup (with my help) the guiding principles, architecture and standards that the excel developers will follow
Developments and enhancements in MS BI to meet the project needs eg we may need additional data or to enhance data models (they need to be hands on as well as theoretical)
Alignment with the BI team. Ensure the project stays aligned with BI developments and standards

THE REQUIRED SKILLS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Must - MS BI architecture - defining pragmatic standards and able to drive the conversations that make them real
Must - Experience in planning projects. Preferably retail merchandising but can also be operations, sales or finance planning projects
Prefer - Some excel development experience
Prefer - Retail experience
