Senior Mobile Developer

Our client is a unique, dynamic, and fast growing international trade consulting firm seeking Front-end Developer candidates for their Technology Services division that are innovative, experienced, problem solvers and are interested in growing into a leadership position. Or client sees its Technology Services division as a lucrative area for the firm, and is actively engaged in seeking team members and resources to dramatically expand that division.

This successful candidate is one that enjoys wearing many hats and will play a pivotal role in these expansion efforts, serving as an integral part in building and maintaining mobile applications for IOS and/or Android platforms. As a technical contributor in the execution of the strategic direction for the company, the success of this position will be measured by the usability, quality, and timeliness of applications delivery. Candidates should have experience in interpreting user-driven requirements into secure, maintainable, and flexible application code.

The Technology Services division develops and maintains online application systems that contain global regulatory standards affecting agricultural and food trade, as well as databases that help organizations with their international trade efforts. Or client is in the process of looking to expand this and other online systems. As such, the firm is looking to enhance its in-house capabilities in Web application development and leadership.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Responsible for requirements definition, design and implementation of mobile applications on IOS/Android platforms.
Responsible for contributing to and being a champion of IOS/Android applications for enterprise.
Responsible for working with business owners to propose high-quality user experience solutions for IOS/Android applications.
Responsible for working with tertiary groups such as Security, Architecture, IT Operations, and QA to ensure quality design, delivery, and adherence to corporate standards.
Develop IOS/Android applications user interfaces and Web Service integration APIs using latest technologies.
Develop mobile framework for upcoming projects.

Strong interpersonal, oral, written, and visual communication skills, with ability to present findings concisely and effectively.
Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, program management, and marketing about objectives, requirements and design constraints.
Solid understanding of agile development principles, careful attention to detail, as well as ability to design solutions for multiple product requirements.

Education and/or experience

4 + years' experience building native, web and hybrid apps for iOS and Android platforms using latest SDK versions.
Experience with SWIFT, Cocoa API's and inside-and-out knowledge of the iOS SDK.
Strong Java skills with extensive knowledge of the Android SDK.
Ability to distribute an iOS App using Ad Hoc Provisioning.
Good understanding of mobile platforms, device manufacturers, and mobile browsers.
Experience in client-side coding using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and responsive design frameworks.
Experience with building UI/UX design and interactions.
Experience with AJAX, REST API concepts, JSON and useful Design Patterns.
Experience with Ruby on Rails and PHP is a plus.
Experience in using Git source control.
