Senior Migration Engineer w/Splunk (2032)

For a six month project at our banking client site in Zurich, we are looking for a

SENIOR MIGRATION ENGINEER W/SPLUNK (2032)

THE ENGINEER WILL BE PART OF A TEAM MIGRATING SPLUNK VERSION 4 TO VERSION 6.

- The version of Splunk at our client site consists out of 10+ components that needs to be adjusted or fully re-created.
- Engineer Splunk 6 components
- Build packages in Linux RPM Format
- Create and execute manual and/or automated tests
- Check Firewalls
- Updated/adjust current code fragments in Bash, Python and Java
- Code reviews with feedback

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bsc/Msc in Computer Science or relevant working experience
- 3+ years in IT Systems & Software Engineering
- Experience working in a large enterprise
- Unix, Linux/At least one Object Oriented Language (eg .NET, JAVA, C++, etc.)/None
- Log management know how (Splunk preferred)
- Understanding of networks, code versioning
- Experience in the area of security in general
- Very good English skills (able to negotiate/communicate with stakeholders)
- German is an advantage, but optional

You're a good communicator in general and have experienced negotiation skills and you have a team-oriented attitude.
