Senior BI Developer - MicroStrategy - London - 6 Month Contract Senior BI Developer / MicroStrategy / Business Intelligence / Reporting / SQL / Netezza / ETL Toolsets / Data Modelling Our Platinum client are currently seeking two Business Intelligence Developers on a initial 6 month contract to join the Business Intelligence Services team within the organisation. A Senior Developer is required to work within the BI Solutions team with the successful applicant responsible for the design, development and maintenance of the reporting platform. The client also require a Developer to work closely with the Senior Developer. Essential * Demonstrable experience in developing large scale global reporting platforms * Extensive experience throughout the software development lifecycle * Interpersonal skills including presentation, negotiating, conflict resolution, etc * Proven experience in data analysis and willingness to the business context of technical requirements * Strong communication skill sets. It is vital that the successful candidate can explain complex technical issues in non-technical terms to business stakeholders * Ability to multi-task and prioritise within parallel development cycles and aggressive timelines * Knowledge and experiences of SDLC methodologies e.g. Agile, Waterfall * Strong troubleshooting and problem solving ability * Skilled in business requirements analysis with ability to translate business information into technical specifications * Eager to learn Additional * Knowledge of data warehouse appliances, e.g. Netezza and SQL * Experience of reporting against very large data sets through MicroStrategy * Appreciation of emerging and newer technologies * Knowledge of Data Modelling methodologies If the role is suitable to your skills, then please forward your most up to date cv for immediate consideration.
