Senior Microstrategy Architect/Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Requirements gathering and development of functional design specifications.
- Develop/maintain Front End repository including Logical Tables, Attributes, Facts, Metrics, and Filters.
- Development and programming of reports and Front End data access programs based on functional designs.
- Development of mobile applications (iPhone/iPad).
- Development of Visual Insight Analysis (data discovery tool).
- Development of Transaction Services express dashboards to support data entry and data manipulations.
- Support installation, upgrade, and configuration of MicroStrategy product suite.
- Maintain and modify reports/queries as necessary.
- Troubleshoot operational/data issues.
- Manage and support technical documentation.
- Test changes/modifications.
- Providing assistance to other technical areas as required.

SKILLS:

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

- 7-8 years hands-on experience with the following MicroStrategy 9i components: Architect, Desktop, Schema Objects, OLAP Services, Intelligence Server, Object Manager, NarrowCast Server, Report Services, Mobile and Web.
- Proficiency with MicroStrategy 9i - Dynamic Dashboards, Transaction Services, Visual Insight, Mobile, NarrowCast, report development and project design: Facts, Attributes, Hierarchies, Aggregation etc.
- The candidate MUST also have experience on MicroStrategy Security Administration with exposure to administering large number of users and groups with security filters.
- Good understanding of relational structures, dimensional data modelling, Structured Query Language (SQL) skills, Data Warehouse and reporting techniques.
- 7-8 years of experience using SQL with a relational DBMS such as Oracle or MS SQL Server.
- Proficiency with Windows Server 64-bit OS and IIS Web Server.
- In-depth experience with Client Server applications and architectures.
- Experience working with the full life cycle development process, which includes analysis, design, construction, and testing.
- Experience in configuring, governing, troubleshooting, tuning Intelligence Server, Web Server and NarrowCast Server.
- MicroStrategy Certification.
- Excellent Written and Verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with senior business and technical IT management.
- Strong Analytical and problem solving abilities.
- General experience with business applications in the areas of supply chain management and production control.
- Experience with the Web/ASP/HTML programming language (a - PLUS).
- Bachelor's Degree - (Computer Science preferred).
