For a project at our banking client site in Zurich, we are looking for a skilled

SENIOR MICROSOFT BI DEVELOPER SSRS SSAS (2159)

SCOPE OF WORK:
The BIS (Business Information & Systems) Applications team provides IT services as maintenance, enhancement and development for BIS applications in terms of standard reporting and BI service. 
The BI2 application is a key strategic project providing Standard Reporting and Self Service BI capabilities to the business. 
Standard Reporting covers a number of different business areas including Client Reporting, Product Reporting and Performance Reporting. 
Self Service BI provides a framework and environment of tools and capabilities for business users to develop adhoc solutions according to demand from end users including regulatory and compliance departments. 
MICROSOFT BI TOOLS ARE USED EXTENSIVELY IN THE PROJECT WITH ORACLE USED AS THE PRIMARY DATABASE.

We are looking for a Senior developer to work primarily on Report development using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). 
The Standard Reporting part of the BI2 application uses reports aligned to business subject areas. 
The report requirements and the business data are complex and the developer MUST BE FAMILIAR WITH DEVELOPING REPORTS TAKING DATA FROM LARGE COMPLEX MULTI-DIMENSIONAL STRUCTURES (SSAS) AND WORKING WITH COMPLEX HIERARCHIES. 
The person should also be experienced with performance tuning reports and optimizing the MDX for optimal data retrieval.

Close interaction and collaboration with team members (also offshore) is very important, as is a thorough understanding of dependencies between cubes and other components and technologies.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

SSRS

- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Reporting Services tool (SSRS), Must be able to provide design options, alternatives and recommendations based on experience and best practices for report design
- Ability to solve and optimize report performance, Proficient knowledge of Microsoft tuning and performance optimization tools
- Experience with combining data from different sources in SSRS
- Experience with SSRS report caching, SSRS report customization

MDX

- Very strong MDX skills
- Strong Experience working with large complex SSAS cubes and hierarchical data.

MICROSOFT BI (GENERAL SKILLS)

- Experience working with SQL Server/SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
- Ability to understand complex data-models
- Strong data and dimensional modelling skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft .NET C# is nice to have
- Working under pressure and deliver utmost quality

Additionally, you meet the following requirements:

- A Masters degree in computer science or similar is expected.
- GENERAL BANKING KNOWLEDGE IS A PLUS.
- FLUENCY IN ENGLISH IS PARAMOUNT.
- Experience working with large complex cubes with hierarchical data.
- Practical experience of performance tuning and optimisation is also very important.
- Oracle experience is a plus
