Senior Metals Demand Analyst

Our client, a boutique Commodities consultancy who operate in the downstream markets currently have a vacancy for a metals demand analyst to join their Copper Analytics team based in central London. The successful candidate will be joining a team of researchers and analysts who undertake commercially driven consultancy and analytical projects for all aspects of the downstream / Metals industry.

Demand market exposure in a commodity is imperative but the ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the 'downstream' sector of the metals industry or wider energy & commodities business, on an international basis, either through an industry player or a high grade analytical role.

Specific experience in at least some of the following disciplines will be required:

- Demand experience - Understanding of analysis of commodities markets
- Preferably with Economics background
- Has had exposure to "downstream markets"
- 4+yrs experience in commodity analytics
- Supply/demand balances of commodities across regions and impact on markets
- Fast learner and wants to take charge of a product area

The role:

You will be responsible for taking a leadership position in Copper research reports/project studies. Additionally, you will be a pivotal in providing analysis and interpretation of current and future trends in metals industry researching, collating data and information through primary research and assisting in preparing written material for inclusion in client reports and publication subscriptions.

You will also be expected as part of the role to contribute to and lead bespoke projects for clients on copper, wire and cable products market and trade - either in response to specific requests, or as multi-client reports;
