Senior Mechanical Engineer - Edinburgh

Senior Mechanical Engineer - Edinburgh - Competitive MyEdinburghbased client currently require an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team. You'll be joining a leader in the renewables sector, with a team responsible for the design and manufacture of steel fabrications, iron castings, test rigs and O&M infrastructure. Key responsibilities: - Lead the design of mechanical and structural components from concept through to production - Involved in selection of suppliers/contractors - support contract negotiation - Liaise with suppliers (ie fabrication contractors) - Involved in the FMEA process for design development Required Skills: - 5+ years of relevant design & construction experience - Degree educated (ideally in Mechanical engineering or Structural engineering) - Working experience of 3D CAD software - Demonstrate ability to consistently innovate and develop - Exposure to finite analysis software - Exposure to Solidworks (or comparable design software) In return you will be offered a competitive salary in relation to your experience.
