Senior Mechanical Engineer

The Client

My client have been specialising within process instrumentation for more than 100 years and you will be playing a leading role in the Mechanical Engineering team. You will also have a pivotal role in terms of the organisations future success by enhancing the Company's technology so that the product range can be expanded.

The Role
* To deliver new mechanical designs in line with agreed product development plan
* Helping to maintain existing range of products
* Providing mechanical engineering support to production engineering and marketing departments
* Hands on product development working with project and product managers, developing product specifications and delivering designs to meet those specifications
* Take ownership of mechanical design aspects of new products and variants of existing products following phase-gate NPI procedures
* Technical reporting and preparation of engineering project documentation

The Candidate
* Relevant degree Level in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
* Minimum of five years experience of mechanical design and development in a similar or related industrial environment
* Practical experience of stress calculations and 3D design
* Able to identify promising ideas and convert these into working designs

The Salary

£40-45k pa
