The Manufacturing Engineer...

- Provides direction and leadership in line with operational strategies and objectives to the industrial manufacturing organization in support of existing and new production facilities and processes.
- Manages a team of engineers in acquisition, implementation, improvement and support of industrial manufacturing processes designed to promote lean manufacturing, demand flow, work efficiency and cost savings.
- Plans, schedules, manages and monitors smooth execution of various engineering projects, ensuring adherence with all local government and company regulations, policies and procedures for environment, health and safety compliance. Ensures the documentation of project and program activities and deliverables.
- Supports implementation of new product development plans for the business unit. Develops industrial engineers and technicians as strong contributing members of extended NPI teams (New

Product Introduction), promotes design manufacturability, provides product standard cost evaluation and prototyping. - Reviews and approves technical documentation to verify compliance technical specifications and standards.
- Plans and manages cost improvement program related to manufacturing engineering.
- Allocates proper level of resources to facilitate attainment of project goals within established timelines and budgets.
- Oversees overall capital expenditures program for the business unit, responsible for the development and justification of the engineering department capital investments.
- Facilitates resolution of complex technical and operational problems, assists with investigations on non-conformance, complaints or CAPA (Corrective Action, Preventive Action).
- Keeps senior management informed on project and program status by creating, maintaining and presenting written reports on project and program status, costs, risks and issues, and performance against established targets on a regular basis.
- Sets business metrics for the team and provides performance feedback to employees.
- On demand, coordinates specific cross-functional team at the business unit or campus level to drive business and organizational results.
- Leads and develops specialist engineers in areas of metal machining, metal surface treatment, packaging and CNC programming.
- Oversee a department for technical engineering work such as CAD, tooling, fixture design, and technical documentation.

Requirements

- University/Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of related experience in industrial manufacturing engineering in the medical device or regulated industry
- Strategic agility, knowledge of business planning: ROI, Value proposition & Profit optimization
- Good knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Cross-functional project management experience to develop and transfer new product and/or technology into manufacturing required.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the medical device quality system regulation required (ISO & QSR).
- Excellent communication, leadership, team building, employee involvement, diplomacy, delegating skills, as well as confidence and enthusiasm.
- Availability to travel up to 20% regionally or internationally
- English business fluent
