Senior Lucene-based Search Engineer

Technical Skills/Expertise:
Strong experience with designing, implementing, running, and maintaining open-source search engines SolrCloud (must have) and ElasticSearch (desirable) systems for high-performance and high-availability ingest and search
Strong experience with linux-based Scripting as required to support the installation, running, monitoring, and maintaining of a SolrCloud (must have) and ElasticSearch (desirable) high-performance and high-availability system
Experience with NoSQL database technologies like HBase, Couchbase, etc.
Experience with big data methodologies involving Hadoop ecosystem

General Requirements:
Demonstrated ability to make strong judgments and work effectively with all levels of clients, management and staff
Ability to Plan, track, communicate and manage system requirements through design to implementation
Ability to provide highly detailed documentation of projects implemented
Support and provide input as part of the project team during the design, development, and deployment phases of the project
Very good written, verbal and presentation skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
Experience with Agile Software Development Life Cycle methodology
