Senior LTE/UMTS Engineer

Senior LTE/UMTS Engineer A leading consultancy urgently requires a Senior LTE Engineer with broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures applied in providing advice and consultation on LTE engineering matters to come on board for a 6 month extendable contract. Works with minimum supervision; conferring on technical issues only for unusual situations. Within the context of job responsibilities, assignments require originality and ingenuity and considerable latitude for un-reviewed decision-making.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The area of responsibility will generally cover several of the following activities -

Should have strong understanding of LTE/UMTS/HSPA concepts
Should have strong understanding of LTE/UMTS/HSPA concepts
Network performance improvement, including tracing and analysis of single call as well as traffic analysis and improvement using KPIs
In-depth understanding of RAN ATM, IP transport network and capability to modify configurations according to established templates and script procedures
Correct eNodeB faults and performance degradations in the network
Analyze KPI & monitor Alarm on the OSS application ATM/IMA knowledge and implementation
Troubleshooting on a network element and its interfaces
Diagnostics on interfaces to locate problems in network elements and/or plug-in units
Perform UTRAN internal parameter audit
Should have excellent knowledge on accessing the Nokia OSS & commands
