Senior Linux System Administrator

SUMMARY:
The contractor would be used to supplement the current operations staff to free up more senior technical staff to engage in more complex operations infrastructure activities that will bring better efficiency and organization to our operational workflows.

SKILLS:

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Shall have (5) years or more experience as a Red Hat, Scientific Linux or CentOS Linux Systems Administrator holding the responsibility of managing (100) or more Servers.
- During that (5) years, shall have demonstrated signification experience in the following areas:

User support, system troubleshooting, kickstart system deployment and provisioning,
Network host configuration and troubleshooting, configuration management systems, system
Event and health monitoring systems, distributed revision control systems.
- Shall be able to demonstrate general knowledge and familiarity with ITSM processes models and tools.
- Shall have experience with implementing and maintaining Linux Security practices, policies, and procedures
- Shall demonstrate the ability to write maintainable operations scripts in either BASH or Python languages.
- Shall be able to write and maintain documentation for project and task deliverables for use in a service delivery team environment.
- Shall be able to work and integrate into an organized team environment of other highly skilled Linux system administrators and operating system developers.
- Shall provide professional references and documentation supporting the stated qualification requirements.
