Senior Lead Automation Engineer/Project Manager (Emerson, Delta V) (m/f/d)

MY DUTIES:

- Contribute to the technical strategy for execution of automation projects, with a focus on the design element of the projects
- Ensure technical alignment between the areas in the automation project by defining, describing and communicating design and code standards and participate in design reviews, model reviews, etc., and to input on technical elements of the design
- Responsibility for reviewing project work during design, construction and validation
- Co-ordination and development of the automation software and hardware to ensure alignment with the project schedule to enable equipment FAT’s, on-site SAT’s, commissioning and validation of the process systems to meet the overall project schedule
- Ensure the right technical prioritization in the project
- Work closely together with the other Automation Engineers to ensure deliverables are ready in time for the different milestones throughout the project
- Works closely together with the other Automation Engineers to ensure the defined standards are followed consistently in the project and the library modules are used as intended

MY QUALIFICATIONS:

- Demonstrated capability for leading/driving complex automation projects technically from initial design & development through to the validation of the facility in support of defined objectives
- Experience in Life Science environment
- Must have Emerson DeltaV Batch experience and a good knowledge of GAMP life-cycle and quality management processes employed in the pharmaceutical sector
- Profound experience in project management, profound experience in the pharma environment delivering automation design / commission / start-up and profound experience as an Area Lead Automation Engineer, Software Engineer or related occupation
- Developed process understanding of production processes used like upstream, downstream processes or CIP, and/or has a deep knowledge of automation system architectures
- Ability to constructively challenge, defend and present technical aspects of system design
- Proven experience as a Senior/Lead Automation Engineer in a Pharma/Biotech environment
- Experience in designing, implementing and supporting automation solutions for clients in the Pharmaceutical and/or Biotechnology industries
- Leadership abilities, works well in a team environment, excellent communication skills, self-starter who can get the job done despite obstacles and a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical, Electrical or Bio-Process Engineering, or related fields
- A very good English proficiency, Croatian is beneficial
