Senior JDE Software Developer - Cleveland, OH

Our client in the Cleveland, Ohio area is looking for a Sr. JDE Software Developer on a 6 month contract to hire basis. 

BROAD FUNCTION AND OBJECTIVE:

- Primary responsibility to provide a high level of expertise in the design, development, testing and maintenance of the companies systems and environments utilizing various computer languages, Integrated Development Environments and tools.
- Must be comfortable with leadership position on projects and issue resolution
- Development of quality written technical design specifications and documentation.
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using various languages.
- Assist in the evaluation of third-party tools and applications.
- Assist and in some cases work with other third party software packages.
- Track project development and support time using existing processes
- Requires a four-year degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or a minimum of 10+ years of related experience
- A positive and professional attitude.
- Excellent communication skills: presentation, written, and oral.
- Strong Team player with a focus towards customer service.
- Assist and coach junior staff members in development techniques.
- Ability to self-motivate and work in a dynamic environment.
- Automotive industries experience a plus.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (NOT LIMITED TO):

- Responsible for the design, development, and testing of system applications utilizing defined development processes, tools, standards, frameworks and methodologies.
- Execute thorough developer unit testing utilizing available use cases.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of newly developed systems and operations.
- Monitor system services ensuring consistent service reliability and timely problem resolution.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance in the proactive appraisal and assessment of existing processes and their continuous improvement to the applications suite.  
- Interface with key customers from all functional areas, both internal and external.
- Responsible for ongoing support of the system applications.

KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES:

- Timely and successful delivery of application development tasks and projects.
- Meet/exceed customer service commitments.
- Effective training and support of business community where required.
- Effective coordination of projects and tasks across the Information Technology organization.      

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

- Must have minimum of 10+ years JD Edwards OneWorld programming experience.
- JD Edwards OneWorld XE 7.3+ SP20 or Higher experience preferred
- Extensive experience in Oracle J.D. Edwards OneWorld Application, UBE, TC, BSFN, NER and Interface design, development and maintenance.
- Extensive experience in developer unit testing.
- Extensive experience developing within the OneWorld XE or higher Development Tool Kit.
- Experience with distributed application development in a Client Server environment (preferably iSeries) is desired.
