Senior Java Developers

The contract is with a consultancy in Brussels to be on assignment at a large European site in The Hague.

The client is seeking Senior Java Developers to perform the following tasks:

. design and develop Java applications and components
. based on the high level design, create and document a detailed design using UML, ArchiMate and other modelling techniques
. identify different options for implementing functionality and propose most suitable option
. implement the design for software components in line with Java coding standards and practices
. translate the non functional requirements (eg. performance, reliability) into technical designs for meeting these requirements
. write unit tests and/or integration tests for software components
. coordinate and assign tasks with/to other developers
. liaise with other technical teams working on sub-modules of the same solution
. liaise with ICT Operations and ICT Architecture
. report progress to Project Manager

Professional Experience:

Mandatory:
. 3 years higher education to Bachelor degree level
. 8 years experience in Java
. 6 years experience in JEE
. 5 years experience in using Spring Framework
. 1 year experience with working with ESB products/frameworks (eg. Apache Camel, Mule ESB, Spring Integration, WebSphere ESB, Fuse Service Works or similar)
. 1 year experience working on multi developer projects using collaboration tools like code repository, work item management and Continuous Integration tools
. knowledge of Maven
. knowledge of SQL
. knowledge of Linux Operating System (preferaby Red Hat Enterprise Linux)

Desirable:
. knowledge of Apache Camel (or FUSE Service Works) Integration Framework
. knowledge of software development project management methodologies
. knowledge of continuous delivery and continuous integration
. knowledge of JBoss Enterprise Application Platform or JBoss Application Server
