Senior Java Developer/Architect

For a major international client in Canton of Vaud, we are looking for a:

SENIOR JAVA DEVELOPER/SOFTWARE ARCHITECT

TO BE IN CHARGE OF THE SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT, CORRECTIVE MAINTENANCE AND CODE IMPROVEMENTS OF OUR CLIENT'S E-COMMERCE CUSTOM SYSTEMS AS WELL AS TO RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SOLUTION LIFE CYCLE OVER MULTIPLE LAYERS, RANGING FROM THE E-COMMERCE PLATFORM THROUGH THE INTEGRATION SYSTEM AND DOWN TO THE BACK END.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

- Write good quality code
- Perform corrective maintenance and correction of identified defects
- Apply best practices, and software architecture guidelines
- Analyses functional specifications and provides estimates with the help of developers.
- Writes solution design, based on business requirements and functional specifications, strategic design and performance goals for our client's software ecosystem
- Supports test design through the overall solution life cycle
- Promotes code quality and functional reuse
- Understands and consistently applies the attributes and processes of current application development methodologies.

CANDIDATES MUST BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE:

- 5-10 YEARS' EXPERIENCE AS A DEVELOPER IDEALLY AS A JAVA AND/OR INTERNET,E-COMMERCE DEVELOPER
- 2-3 YEARS' EXPERIENCE AS A SOFTWARE ARCHITECT,
- Strong skills in J2EE AND INTEGRATION
- EXCELLENT KNOWLEDGE OF UML AND OTHER MODELLING FRAMEWORKS
- Experience in Scrum and Agile development methodologies
- Experience of web service, SOAP, REST
- English (Fluent), French would be a plus.

THIS IS A CONTRACT POSITION WITH AN INTERNATIONAL CLIENT UNTIL THE END OF SEPTEMBER 2016 IN THE FIRST INSTANCE.

THE CLIENT IS LOCATED ON LAKE GENEVA, IN CANTON OF VAUD.
