Senior Java Developer

The primary objective of the Senior Java Developer is a leader within the development team who will help lead the development and maintenance efforts of one or more products within Identity Services Product Suite as well assist with any problems or technical risks throughout the project. The Senior Software Developer is expected to conceptualize software solutions into user-friendly software applications, provide application level architecture designs, and pay close attention to details.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participates in the gathering and reviewing of business requirements and translating these into functional/technical designs.
Develops detailed technical analysis and design specifications based on functional requirements
Uses object-oriented techniques and software engineering best practices including design review, code review, unit-testing, and re-factoring
Participates in the development of code for Java/J2EE/Spring software applications.
Researches technical solutions to business problems

QUALIFICATIONS/WORK EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years of strong application development experience in designing highly scalable and available systems
Minimum of 5 years of experience in architecting & developing web-based transactional applications using Java/J2EE Frameworks
Strong understanding of Java best practices, system scalability, and performance tuning
Solid Understanding of agile software development methodologies.
