Senior Java Developer

SENIOR JAVA DEVELOPER - 3-6 MONTH CONTRACT - DUBAI

PROJECT BACKGROUND: Portal developed in Drupal which has been developed and maintained by a vendor. The contract with the vendor expires at the end of this calendar year and for business and technical reasons they do not wish to continue the relationship with the vendor. In conjunction we're working on the development of the STC Mall, an aggregated site for all of STC's digital properties/products. This platform will also aggregate the marcom portal as one of the properties.

PROJECT SCOPE: The portal is integrated downstream to Back End systems such as billing and CRM (customer/user ID). We no longer wish to continue with the current vendor or technology they wish to redevelop the Back End system in Java. They need to transfer knowledge from the current vendor, map the requirements and redevelop in Java.

POSITION DETAILS: We need 2 x Senior Java Developers that can manage this end 2 end form technical requirements definition (Systems Requirement Specifications/LLD's) through development and test. At least one of these needs to be a strong technical stakeholder manager as they will work with analysis, architecture and test teams as well as 3rd party personnel.
