Senior IT Systems Analyst Manufacturing & Planning

For one of our clients we are looking for a SENIOR IT SYSTEMS ANALYST MANUFACTURING & PLANNING.

As a System Analyst you are a key player within the IT and Business Organization for continuous improvement in the competence area of Shop Floor Control & Production Planning.

Job Mission:
Be the linking pin between the Business (Manufacturing & Logistics), the IT organization and the outsourcing partners. Assess, change and refine business processes and related information systems to continuously increase their effectiveness and make sure that they are properly aligned with the company's strategic direction.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- The System Analyst acts as a first IT contact for Business key players and Business process owners in the organization.
- As an Analyst you assess, change and refine business processes and related information systems to continuously increase their effectiveness and ensure they are properly aligned with the company's strategic direction.
- You challenge the business requirements and processes in order to realize a fit in standard IT solutions instead of custom build solutions.
- You are responsible for the translation of the business requirements into the right functional IT specifications and IT solution direction.
- You are the link between theManufacturing & Logistics organization, the IT organization and the outsourcing partners.

EDUCATION:

- Bachelor's or master's degree in Information Technology or Business Administration with proven experience in complex Shop Floor Control & Planning processes.

EXPERIENCE:

- At least three to five years' experience with production execution and production planning processes in a discrete manufacturing industry (complex products, low volumes).
- Ability to document processes ( as is and to be ) and to assist development of business case transition (incl. a breakdown of the IT cost).
- Ability to document, validate, challenge business requirements and translate them into functional IT specifications. And select the correct solution (direction) corresponding these functional specifications.
- Detailed knowledge of IT systems supporting Shop Floor Control & Planning processes

SAP PP, SAP MM, SAP PM, SAP SD
Experience with Advanced Planning Sytems, preferably Quintiq
Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems like SAP-ME is a pre

Context of the position:
Within the IT Competence Center - Operations the holder of this position will report to the IT Solution Team Manager - Manufacturing . This Solution Team is responsible for all projects and Non Standard Changes in the Manufacturing-area.

DELIVERABLES:

- Specification of all items that are not covered in Quintiq, like:

Interfacing from/to SAP-ECC, SAP-ME, etc.
to/from Quintiq, via SAP-MII and/or Tibco
Solution specification how to manage skills of resource
Required changes to existing systems, like Tool management (partly covered in SAP-PM + SAP-MM), Learning Management System, Time registration system, etc.
Specification of required reports & KPI's outside Quintiq - Create test scripts, provide test data
- Integration test, Preparation of User Acceptance Test
- The holder of this position will work as a team member in this Business/IT improvement project.
- In this role you are responsible for the translation of the business requirements into IT specifications. This will include writing Functional Designs, Test script and/or review & approve documents created by outsourcing partners.
