The Sr. Project Manager will be responsible for managing and delivering multiple highly complex software development and/or integration projects in a very fast-paced environment with matrixed cross functional team members from multiple geographic locations. The candidate will work with business and technology subject matter experts to define scope, develop plan, create cost estimate, and produce Project Charters and other documentation needed for funding approvals.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Developing project plan and charter package
- Managing project funding request process
- Identifying project risks and mitigation plan
- Developing comprehensive project schedule
- Providing weekly project status reports
- Tracking project status at task level
- Scheduling and conducting project meetings
- Providing meeting agenda and taking minutes
- Managing project change requests
- Tracking project issues/action items to closure
- Managing project financials including budgeting
- Forecasting and tracking
- Developing deployment plan and managing production installation
- Developing and delivering executive stakeholder presentations representing the business and technical teams
- Providing directions and ensuring all project activities and deliverables are adhering to Project Management Methodologies
- Providing leadership, directing project activities, conducting reviews, managing risk mitigation and change control processes, and communicating status to senior management within the IT and business organizations

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

- PMP Certification required
- Bachelor's degree in relevant business or technical field required
- MBA or other related advanced degree preferred
- 7-10 years of project management related experience leading technical/business teams in delivering multi-tier web enabled applications and Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse implementations
- Demonstrated ability to manage large projects ($5 M+) and prioritize activities appropriately
- Strong experience with Microsoft Project, Excel, and Clarity
- Scrum Master Certification (CSM) a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; solid problem solving skills; high attention to detail execution and management; outstanding persuasion and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, flexibility and adaptability to changes in role and responsibilities in a matrixed environment
- Financial services, credit card, payment industry experience preferred
- Strong process orientation and a solid understanding of project management techniques, methodologies and best practices
- Working knowledge of full software development life cycle from requirements gathering to post-implementation production support, including quality assurance and system integration
- Self-motivation with the ability to work independently and coordinate activities with cross-divisional and cross-functional teams
- Strong team player with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business professionals at all levels of the organization
- Excellent analysis skills, including the ability to think strategically, and be able to manage multiple projects at same time effectively
- Ability to analyze complex project situations, set goals and objectives, and manage situations to satisfactory completion
- Fluency in project management tools; solid understanding of project financial controls
- Must sit onsite in Foster City
