Senior IT Project Manager, German and English, Banking (Contract, Zuri

For our client, an international bank based in Zurich, Swisslinx are looking for an experienced English and German speaking IT Project Manager with experience implementing platforms or infrastructure as a service for a database automation project in Zurich.

This is a six month contract with potential for extension starting ASAP.

SENIOR IT PROJECT MANAGER, GERMAN AND ENGLISH, BANKING (CONTRACT, ZURICH)

In your role as Senior IT Project Manager you will drive the database automation strategy and direction across the bank's large database estate. This role will have responsibility for the implementation project of a compelling database automation strategy, using input from key stakeholders, internal customers and suppliers. The project realization plan will be socialised with stakeholders and then used to drive the project implementation. The role will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of this specific project ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. Duties:

- To assume responsibility for the project management of the individual work streams as directed by the Programme Director.
- To achieve high performance on all aspects of project delivery, in line with commitments made.
- Define, communicate, executepreparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions.

To qualify for this exciting contract position in question bring the following skills and experience:

- Strong experience as a project manager or consultant in the banking industry (at least 10 years experience)
- Experience in the field of technology and implementation components implementing platforms or infrastructure as a service
- Proven experience on a previous database automation project
- Ability to work on a program level
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure and DBMS (Oracle and MS-SQL)
- Fluency in English and ability to communicate with stakeholders in German
- Ability to work autonomously
- Team-player with the ability to build solid relationships characterized by mutual respect, openness and trust
