Senior IT Monitoring Engineer

We are searching for an IBM Netcool Omnibus Expert to manage the IBM Tivoli Netcool Environment and manage the Omnibus product.
The successful candidate will ensure proper documentation is maintained and ensure all third-party monitoring solutions that are integrated into Tivoli are properly documented.

Applicants are expected to have 3 years experience in managing high availability system management tools in;
o IBM Tivoli Netcool OMNIbus (must have)
o IBM Tivoli Netcool Impact (nice to have)
o IBM Tivoli Monitoring (nice to have)

It is essential to have the following skills:
- Fair UNIX Shell and/or PERL Scripting skills.
- Experience building custom automatons with OMNIBUS
- Experience building custom probe rules
- Experience building custom Dashboards and Tools using OMNIBUS and working with rules
- Nice to have experience building custom policies with Impact
- Ability to translate user requirements to technical solutions
- Comfortable in various platforms like Linux, and Windows
- Experience in building custom reports with TCR (Tivoli common reporting based on Cognos reporting)
- Ability to apply knowledge of tools to create solutions which are maintainable, follow enterprise standards.
- Ability to utilize advanced systems, Scripting and developer skills to develop methodologies to implement, integrate, and maintain new and emerging enterprise-wide systems software technology components.
- ITIL framework certification or experience is a plus
