Senior IT Business Analyst

We are seeking a SENIOR IT BUSINESS ANALYST who will be responsible for managing the software implementation life cycle for a variety financial applications. This includes gathering and analysing business requirements, execution planning, testing, and delivery of applications. In addition, this position is responsible for ad-hoc business analysis deliverables for both technical and non-technical projects and contributes to the effective delivery of training and support services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this position you will play a key role ensure a quality implementation experience. You will apply your product knowledge, best practices, and project management skills to consistently delivery timeline and accurate achievement of milestones in the implementation schedule.

You will perform a complete, detailed needs analysis, evaluating available applications and identifying opportunities for enhancing existing systems. This work will extend to facilitating the development, implementation and support of applications and application upgrades, including training of end users.

Other duties of this role will include policy and procedure development and vendor management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Business or computer related field.

Five (5) years of related, progressively-responsible work experience with a focus on business to business client interface.

Experience in life insurance and/or financial services a plus.

Experience with business process analysis and design.

Demonstrated task management skills including a proven ability to keep track of, prioritize and report status of multiple initiatives.

Strong customer service background.

Strong working knowledge of PC skills: Windows, Microsoft Office, and web applications.

Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to follow through on tasks.

Proven ability to work with changing requirements/priorities using internal and external resources.

Highly professional written and verbal communication skills

Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with M Financial Group staff, Member Firms, Carriers and vendors.

Ability to be available for after-hours support and weekend work as needed
