Senior IT Analyst - Oracle/Unix

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Works with the team members to maintain and improve the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) applications, including following the corporate ITSM policies for data modifications, creating and enhancing the Oracle procedure code for process changes, performing Database updates, migrations and enhancements, maintaining and creating Unix Scripts.
- Creation of Implementation Plans
- Creation of Testing Plans
- Creation of Backout Plans

SKILLS

Must be detail oriented (making changes to production data). Required Oracle skills and experience: Experience with creation of Oracle DDL (Data Definition Language) commands; experience with Oracle PL/SQL, specifically knowledge of Oracle roles and their usage; experience with SQL*PLUS. Required UNIX skills and experience: Knowledge of PuTTY (UNIX access); understanding of basic UNIX commands; ability to set up, understand, and maintain Cron jobs; ability to understand and maintain UNIX Shell Scripts; ability to set up and call PL/SQL scripts from UNIX Shell Scripts; knowledge of FTP for file transfer between UNIX and Windows.

Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent training required. Significant previous IT experience required. Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills are all essential for success in this role. Must have expert ability to work independently and manage ones time.
