Senior ICT Infrastructure Architect

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Design of AD, Exchange, Commvault, Citrix, Windows Server, Group Policy, AV, Disaster Recovery and Microsoft Clustering

Install and support of the Department's PKI & Certificate Authority hardware and software infrastructure, Hardware (SAN, DAS, Servers and Libraries), and Microsoft Hyper-V

Project Manage all major technical projects undertaken

Responsible for the assignment of duties and tasks to Senior Engineers based on skills, experience and roles in particular projects

Act as an escalation point for third party solution providers such as Microsoft, Dell, Citrix and Commvault

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

MCITP Exchange 2010 or 2013

MCSA in Server 2012 R2,

MCTS in Microsoft Virtualisation

MCSE in another field

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Experience of a large distributed ICT environment

Design, install and support of Active Directory, RODC's and Group Policy configuration

Design, install and support of Microsoft Exchange 2010 with DAG technology

Design, install and support of Commvault back up technology

Design, install and support of Citrix solutions, Virtualised Environments, SQL Server (2005 & 2008)

Install, support and administration of Certificate Authority infrastructure hardware and software (Microsoft, Entrust and nCipher)

Install and support Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2008R2, 2012 and 2012R2

Anti-Virus technologies (Symantec, McAfee, Forefront, Sophos)

Microsoft Failover Clustering

Hardware (SAN, DAS, Servers and Tape Libraries)

Microsoft Hyper-V technologies

Microsoft System Centre 2007/2012 (Full Suite)

Load Balancing Hardware

Web Hosting infrastructure design

Design of Disaster Recovery Solutions using both hardware and software technologies

NICE TO HAVE

3-5 years' experience of working in a public sector environment
