Senior IA Practitioner and Security Risk Assessor

BACKGROUND
Our Central Government client require a Senior AI Practitioner and Security Rick Assessor for an initial 3 months contract to start ASAP based in Coventry or London.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

- Reviewing, updating and aligning the entire Security Policy & Guidance Portfolio and ensuring that it reflects the new Government Security Classification (GSC) scheme which has its formal policy release by Cabinet Office in September 2013.
- Preparing and submitting the technical compliance documentation and supporting risk management case to demonstrate compliance with the new Code of Connection for the Public Sector Network (PSN).
- Carrying out targeted retrospective security risk assessment and risk reduction work on the portfolio of Legacy IT systems and services.
- Providing expert security architecture design review and assurance input to a number of important IT programmes and projects supporting business change.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- CESG Listed Adviser Scheme (CLAS) registered.
- Experience as an IT Security specialist.
- Experience as a security architect.
- Experience of accreditation of ICT systems in accordance with IS1& IS2 and associated HMG standards and guidance.
- Ability to identify technical risk, and to articulate it as business risk.
- Familiarity with strengths and weaknesses of recent technologies, to include most or all of: Virtualisation technologies, Microsoft Forefront UAG/TMG, Sharepoint, Cisco UCS, Cloud, Firewalls and IPS/IDS.
