ROLE DESCRIPTION:
The focus of this role is to respond to, support and up skill managers in resolving their people management and employee relations issues.
Primarily the candidate will be expected to provide a service focused on service excellence to the Business Managers. Using the HR Value Chain to contract with the business, providing a consultancy type service, giving advice, coaching and risk based information on HR and employee relations issues and related projects through to closure, ensuring that actions following the provision of that advice are executed and are legally compliant and meet the HR Statement of work and associated SLAs (good knowledge of employment law).
The selected candidate will act both individually and as part of a team in delivering an efficient, customer responsive case management service, supporting managers and employees in carrying out casework relating to disciplinary, grievance, absence management, capability and other performance management and learning and development interventions and evaluations.
He/she will also provide a first class, high quality, professional HR service in the delivery of the HR calendar activities, ensuring principles, time-lines and parameters are set to deliver a consistent approach across the business. These include performance management, employee engagement, promotions, pay review and bonus, talent management and succession planning.
