Senior Highways Engineer

Senior Highways Engineer required to provide engineering support as part of the Birmingham Highways team.

Engineering resource to support the Birmingham City Centre Extension Project.

OBJECTIVES
1. Provide short term
2. Will assist in project delivery in for highways delivery of additional scope work.
3. Position identified as part of the BCCE project delivery review.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
1. Support successful delivery of the BCCE project in to construction.

MAIN DUTIES
Technical
1. Minimum of 5 years post graduation design experience
2. Experience working with Contractors, preferably under Design and Build.
3. Urban realm design experience
4. Demonstrable understanding of Health and Safety including CDM

Personal Attributes
5. Good communication skills and experience of building relationships with Clients
6. Proactively supports Senior/Principal Engineers
7. Strong problem solving skills
8. Ability to identify and manage risks
9. Commercially aware
10. IT literate in basic MS packages

Qualifications

11. Recognised Civil Engineering Degree or similar

Additional Requirement

12. Full drivers licence essential
