Senior Functional Analyst - Brussels - 12 Months

My client is currently looking to recruit a Senior Functional Analyst' on a 12 months contract based in Brussels.

Location: Belgium, Brussels
Rate: 300 to 350 Euros per day
Contract length: 12 months
Start date: Immediate

Key responsibilities:

* Defines the needs of our internal customers, analyzes and documents (both functional and non-functional)
* Monitor the analytical solutions with respect to simplicity and efficiency
* Prepares test case
* Act as functional point of contact for the users

Key Skills/Knowledge:

* In touch with the (technological) possibilities within Business Intelligence (eg reporting applications, analytics tooling, data mining applications, data warehouse technologies, Big Data, ...)
* Understand the value of information and comprehend raw data into relevant information/insights
* Customer focused
* Communicates well and knows how to convince others through commitment, assertiveness and accessibility
* Think analytically and distinguish detail of essence
* Can enter into the world of the end user
* Can adjust easily to new situations
* Open to innovation and know how to give ideas on creative expression
* Solve problems paying attention to simplicity and efficiency in the process
* Fluent in Dutch and English

Experience required:

* Experience in Datamodelling (preferably SAP Sybase Power Designer) and database technologies (preferably Sybase IQ)
* Experience/affinity with an ETL tool (preferably Informatica PowerCenter)
* Experience in SQL
* Experience/affinity with a reporting tool (preferably SAP Business Objects) is a plus.
