Senior Financial Analyst

SUMMARY

- The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the monthly management of the Shared Risk financial activity and Analysis.
- This includes claims trend reconciliation, rates changes, audit schedules and updates of the PPG summaries.
- They are responsible for the consolidation of liability accounts and calculation of the Shared Risk IBNR.
- They will prepare all journal entries audit schedules related to MCLA and SNP shared risk journal entries and audit schedules.
- They will be responsible for the accurate updating of all related month end reports.
- They will prepare all necessary shared risk reporting for contracted Participating Provider Groups(PPG) performance for the MCLA and SNP product lines of business.
- Will follow CMS guidelines to calculate and prepare documentation for SNP broker commissions.
- Will meet contractual requirements to calculate and reconcile the ADHC care coordinator contracts.
- Interfaces and serves as liaison with multiple departments.

SKILLS:

QUALIFICATIONS

- Must have strong accounting skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication skills, and excellent database skills
- Medi-Cal, Medicare and MHC knowledge preferred.
- Must have a Bachelors in Business Administration or Finance with knowledge of strong accounting principles
- CPA preferred, and a minimum of 4-8 years HMO experience.
- Must have strong HMO Health Care industry knowledge.
