SENIOR FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT

THE ROLE

An excellent opportunity exists for a Financial Accountant to join the NTT Data UK business in London. The purpose of this role is varied from some hands-on general ledgers clean up to leading some more technically based projects over the coming months. We are therefore looking for an individual with all round accounting and technical experience whilst able to demonstrate some commercial acumen and the ability to work at all levels.

THE OPPORTUNITY

- Convergence project of the Statutory Accounts from UK GAAP to FRS 101/102, including production of opening statutory accounts.
- Enhancement of the internal control framework through the development of the Risk and Control Matrix.
- Development and implementation of Procurement and Expenses Policies.
- Enhance controls and documentation to the current balance sheet review process.
- Review and reconciliations of balance sheets and historical ledger balances.
- Assist and guide the offshore accounting teams to prepare the audit files for the auditors, including substantiating the Trial Balances.
- Perform other ad hoc tasks/sub-projects as required to support the accounting teams.
- Liaison and relationship with other members of the wider finance team onshore and offshore, including implementation of the various initiatives.

THE PERSON

- Relevant accountancy qualification (eg ACA, ACCA) and audit experience from a recognised accountancy practice.
- Previous hands on experience working with an offshore Shared Service Centre are mandatory.
- Up-to-date technical accounting skills and knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Some experience in a large multinational is desirable.
- Statutory accounts preparation.
- SAP experience will be a definite advantage.
- Exceptional documentation skills.
- Ability to work well with multiple departments
